The Ishibashi Memorial Hall, with a celebrated acoustics, is an idela venue for concerts, rehearsals and recordings/filming. It is possible to hire the Ishibashi Memorial Hall and the Aeolian Hall, subject to approval by the Management Board.

Audience Capacity
The Hall's total capacity is 508 which consists of:
• Stalls: 430- inc. 2 wheelchair spaces
• Balcony: 78
Stage Capacity
The stage of Ishibashi Memorial Hall can comfortably accommodate up to a chamber orchestra, the Aeolien Hall is ideal for a soloist or small ensemble. Promoters who have not hired the Hall before, and are planning a concert for a larger number of performers, are recommended to make an appointment to view the stage before signing any agreement.
Resident
The Ishibashi Memorial Hall will provide two Steinway model D grand pianos and an untique Pleyel piano. The piano must be tuned before every performance.
The Hall also has a resident harpsichord, a positive organ by Rieger Orgelbau, a pipe organ with 36 stops by Johannes Klais Orgelbau GmbH & Co. KG. If another keyboard instrument is required, it is the responsibility of the promoter to make the necessary arrangements.
House Staff
The Hall provides throughout the concert:
• A House Manager
• A Stage Manager (on your request)
• Ushers
• Attended cloakroom
Hours of Use
The Hall is open to hire from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The day is devided into three time zone according to different fees.
• Morning: 8:00 AM - 12:00 AM
• Afternoon: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
• Evening: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Promoters are requested to schedule all preparation including tuning, rehearsals, and get-in/out, within their own selection of time zones. Additional time in the premises may be arranged upon request for an hourly fee.
Applying for a concert date
In order to maintain our high reputation for quality, we take the policy of only presenting performances of the highest calibre and have a strict date application process. A concert date application consists of a letter to the Executive Director with which you should submit:
• Details of the proposed concert
• The periods in which you would like to be considered for a performance date at the Hall. NB We do not provide availability, and specific dates cannot be discussed at the point of an initial enquiry; we ask for all performers to provide us with their best periods and plan our concert diary on this basis.
• A proposed programme
• Biographies of the performers
• Press reviews or publicity information on the performers
• A recent audio recording of any or all of the performers to be involved.
